چکیده

Due to the variability of soil characteristics in field and rising prices high-quality seeds, farmers are increasingly interested applying a system precision variable rate seeding (VRS), which makes it easier manage risks crop production allows ensure profitability farm. Most modern seed drills equipped with hydraulic or electric drive terminal tractor cabin, allowing apply VRS. The aim this study was determine most appropriate winter wheat according measured apparent electrical conductivity (ECa) field, investigate uniformity placement by layers evaluate germination dynamics wheat. Precision performed using VRS map, generated from ECa data obtained surface scanning device EM-38 MK2. Winter implemented direct drill. research carried out measuring parameters seedbed germinated plants, including number distribution seeds different depths, germination, tillering. Field 3 treatments 4 repetitions (1 – uniform seeding; 2 VRS; + fertilisation (VRF)). results showed relationship between depth placement. were inserted at medium depths (15–30 mm), except management zone, where highest (28.8 mS m-1). In area, (50.7%) shallowly up 15 mm. experimental studies that VRS+VRF methods all zones similar, while yielded significant differences individual

estimation of apparent soil electrical conductivity using direct contact method

abstract wenner direct contact method is a method of estimating apparent electrical conductivity (eca) of agricultural soils in situ. this method can be affected by factors such as quality of electrodes in contact with soil, type of employed electric current, moisture content, clay content and compaction of soil. in this research, the effect of electrode type (rod and plate) and electric curren...

Apparent soil electrical conductivity measurements in agriculture

The field-scale application of apparent soil electrical conductivity (ECa) to agriculture has its origin in the measurement of soil salinity, which is an arid-zone problem associated with irrigated agricultural land and with areas having shallow water tables. Apparent soil electrical conductivity is influenced by a combination of physico-chemical properties including soluble salts, clay content...

Mapping Depth to Argillic Soil Horizons Using Apparent Electrical Conductivity

Maps of apparent electrical conductivity (ECa) of the soil profile are widely used in precision agriculture. A number of ECa sensors are commercially available, each with a unique response function (i.e., the relative contribution of soil at each depth to the integrated ECa reading). Our past research estimated depth to an argillic horizon (i.e., topsoil depth, TD) on claypan soils by fitting e...

Potential Application of Electrical Conductivity (EC) Map for Variable Rate Seeding

A two-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the potential application of soil electrical conductivity for variable rate seeding. Map calculations and geo-statistical techniques were used to establish a relationship among EC, elevation, seeding rate, and yield. Yield data taken from the first year, which was a dry year, showed inconsistent relationships and the overall yield variati...
